The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Baltimore Ravens yesterday afternoon to give them a trip to New England. They will square off at 1:05 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Baltimore will go home after a disappointing loss, but with a bright future that should be centered around rookie Lamar Jackson.

The Chargers dominated the first three and a half quarters of this game. The field goal fest featured both Michael Badgley and Justin Tucker miss a kick each. At the end of three, it was 12-3 Chargers. They controlled the Ravens run heavy offense by forcing turnover after turnover. Lamar Jackson had thrown for eight yards at half-time. Baltimore's defense constantly carried its bad offense by limiting the Chargers to field goals despite excellent field position.

The Ravens made a valiant comeback effort. Down 23-3 midway through the fourth quarter, it was looking like all hope was lost. There were even crowd chants for veteran Joe Flacco to come into the game for Jackson. Instead, Baltimore nearly orchestrated one of the most miraculous comebacks ever. They scored a quick touchdown, forced LA to punt, and scored again to make it 23-17 with 1:59 left in the game. On the Chargers ensuing possession, they were forced to punt again. This set up the Ravens with a situation where they had to go 60 yards in 45 seconds with no timeouts to win.

In the wake of a breakdown, Los Angeles' defense stepped up to save their team. They forced yet another fumble on Jackson that was recovered by linebacker Melvin Ingram to ice the game. The Chargers continued their incredible road streak after surviving a scare from the Ravens.
