Thirty minutes into Portugal’s Euro 2020 qualifier game against Serbia on Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted due to a hamstring injury. The Game ended in a 1-1 tie between the two teams as Ronaldo headed to get his injury checked.
As Ronaldo returns to Italy for assessments of his injury, the Portugal soccer team claims the injury to be a “minor” one. Nonetheless, in a statement, the Turin team said, "His conditions will be monitored and will be subjected to new investigations to define the resumption of competitive activity." Juventus has a whole slew of games in front of them. Having a 15 point lead from second place in the Serie A, it is safe to say that Juventus will not be affected by their forward’s injury. Nevertheless, this is only the Italian league.

The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals are also coming up, and Juventus will be facing off against Ajax, who will prove to be a tough opponent after beating Real Madrid. If Ronaldo’s injury affects his presence or performance in their game on April 10, Juventus will have a problem on their hands. Ronaldo plays an important part in Juventus’s offense. As was seen in their Round of 16 match, Ronaldo’s hat-trick was the sole reason why Juventus made it this far. And if the Italian team loses in the first leg, it may prove too tough for even Ronaldo to catch up, which is to say he recovers by then. Nonetheless, in a statement, Ronaldo assured that there are no problems when he said, "My injury? I'm not worried. I know my body and in two weeks' time I'll be ready to play again."
