After the recent firing of Jose Mourinho, Manchester United hired former player Ole Gunnar Skolskjær to be their interim manager. His first test as United's manager was today, 12/22. United finished its 5-1 victory matchup against Cardiff City with a resounding message. We are back! The message could be felt in the air by all who watched, and what they watched was the Manchester United the world used to know, the one led by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Skolskjær enjoyed an amazing debut, and United scored its first 5 point game since Ferguson. His first game on the job and he has already done what Mourinho couldn't. He made a few changes to the team's formation, with Pogba starting his first game since early November. Their attacking style also utilized youngsters such as Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard (2 goals), and Marcus Rashford. Furthermore, United's offense was scoring goals from all over the place. Their first came from a long distance free-kick, another from outside the box, and also one coming from a series of 1-2's inside the box which ended up in a goal coming from Martial.

However, the most prevailing quality in their play was a newfound sense of vigor and self-confidence. For United, this is a do-over after Mourinho's failing start, and although their EPL season might be over this year, the Champions League is still open. PSG might prove to be tough, but if they play the way they did today - an unrelenting attacking and pressure, PSG stands no chance.
