In a completely shocking development, Andrew Luck has retired. The superstar quarterback announced on Saturday that he is hanging up his cleats at just 29 years old. Luck has dealt with injury after injury after injury in his career, and ultimately decided to give up football. In his press conference, Luck confirmed the rumors that he was retiring, and stated, "I felt stuck and the only way out of it is to no longer play football, It's taken my joy away from the game", in reference to his constant rehabilitation.
Luck has had quite the injury history. All of this started in a 2015 game versus the Titans, where Luck suffered a lacerated kidney in week 9 of the season. Luck made a full recovery for the next year, but at the end of the 2016 season, he suffered a torn labrum(cartilage in your shoulder joint) in his throwing shoulder. He was also expected to make a full recovery for the upcoming season, but then suffered numerous injuries to his AC joint(also in your shoulder) that were caused by a snowboarding incident. Luck also suffered at least one concussion, two broken ribs, and a partially torn abdomen during this time. Finally, Luck returned last season, and won comeback player of the year honors. It appeared as if though everything was alright, and the Colts could return to contending for the Super Bowl. Instead, he suffered a mysterious calf/ankle injury that eventually led to his retirement.

The Colts will continue this season with Jacoby Brissett under center. Brissett started 15 games for the Colts two years ago, and certainly knows the offense well. However, in a fairly competitive division, it will be hard for Indy to make the playoffs, unless Brissett goes Nick Foles mode on the rest of the NFL. For fantasy football purposes, upgrade Marlon Mack and Nyhiem Hines a lot, as the Colts will not want to throw the football as much. For that reason, TY Hilton and Eric Ebron's value will take a hit and you should avoid them at all costs.
