After another exciting week of football, the NFL remains highly competitive, with many teams proving that they are Super Bowl contenders. Today, we will be recapping everything major that happened in the sixth week of football action.
Biggest Blowout: Patriots 35, Giants 14
This game was surprisingly close compared to the previous Patriots blowouts. New York was tied with New England 14-14, and were only down 21-14 at the end of the third quarter. However, a costly fumble by third string running back Johnathon Hilliman led to a touchdown. However, this game exposed to the Pats that they have a very weak offensive line. If that does not improve, things could get rough for Tom Brady in the upcoming weeks. As the old saying goes: "Offense wins games, defense wins championships". Or in the Patriots' case, defense wins everything.

Biggest Surprise: Jets 24, Cowboys 22
Led by Sam Darnold, who was returning after suffering mononucleosis following week one. Somehow, the Jets completely stifled the Cowboys. Darnold connected with Robby Anderson for a 92 yard touchdown, and Dallas could not do anything all day. The Cowboys are turning out to being one of the biggest disappointments of the season, and will need to change things fast if they want to compete. Thankfully for them, they are in arguably the worst division in football, where 3-3 is good enough for first place.

Biggest Disappointment: Steelers 24, Chargers 17
Come on Los Angeles. My early season Super Bowl pick is currently sitting at 2-4, and does not look like a competitive football team. In a home game where there might have been one fan(maybe...?), the Chargers lost on Sunday Night Primetime to un-drafted rookie free agent Devlin Hodges. They could not do anything to stop James Conner and the Pittsburgh offense, and the return of Melvin Gordon from his contract holdout has not helped either. Maybe Derwin James returning from his injury will provide LA with a much needed spark.
Snooze-fest of the Week: Redskins 17, Dolphins 16
Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins, who successfully defeated the Redskins in the Toilet Bowl. Miami found themselves down 17-3 in the third quarter, and were very happy as they were losing the game. However, head coach Brian Flores benched QB Josh Rosen for Ryan Fitzpatrick to spur some winning culture into the team. Fitzmagic almost led the Dolphins all the way back to win the game, but after scoring a touchdown with six seconds left, Miami decided to go for two and ran whatever you call this.
Game of the Week: Texans 31, Chiefs 24
This game certainly lived up to its lofty expectations. The Chiefs came out guns blazing, and Tyreek Hill caught a touchdown in his first drive after his clavicle injury. However, after Kansas City cooled down after its 13-0 lead, Deshaun Watson and company started cooking. They were only down by one point at the half and eventually took a lead late. On a crucial fourth and three, Watson iced the game on a quick slant to DeAndre Hopkins. Patrick Mahomes appeared hobbled throughout much of the second half, and the Chiefs defense was miserable.
