Welcome to the first fantasy football advice column for Net. in this column, we will include Fantasy Football " Go's" and "No's". Obvious starts such as Antonio Brown or Todd Gurley will not be included. if you have any other questions email us at netsportsnews1@gmail.com.
QUARTERBACKS
“Go’s” :
Jared Goff vs. KC, Mon 11/19
Goff is playing one of the worst defenses in the league and we can expect an almost surefire shootout between the league’s two most dynamic teams.
Marcus Mariota vs. IND, Sun 11/18
Mariota is coming off a great performance against the New England Patriots and has back to back 23 point showings. Expect him to keep up the good streak against a Colts defense that allowed two touchdowns to Blake Bortles last week.
Russell Wilson vs GB, Thurs. 11/15
Wilson is playing a weak Green Bay defense that allowed 31 points to the Miami Dolphins last week. Wilson should have no trouble picking apart the Packers depleted secondary that is lacking Ha-Ha Clinton Dix.
SLEEPER: Josh Rosen vs OAK, Sun 11/18
“No’s” :
Kirk Cousins vs. CHI, Sun 11/18
Cousins is facing a strong Bears D who have allowed fewer than 15 points to quarterbacks when they play at home. Also, Khalil Mack should be at 100%, which is always a bad sign for all quarterbacks.
Alex Smith vs. HOU, Sun 11/18
Smith failed to produce last week despite playing the horrendous Buccaneers defense. Expect more of the same from him as he is playing a Texans D that has played extremely well this year.
Andy Dalton vs. BAL, Sun 11/18
Missing star receiver AJ Green, Dalton had a tough time connecting with his receivers last week. Expect this to continue against a tough Baltimore D that has performed outstandingly at home.
RUNNING BACKS
“Go’s” :
David Johnson vs. OAK, Sun 11/18
Once again, play the players that are playing the Raiders. Johnson is not only playing an abysmal defense but is also coming off of a 30 point performance. Fire him up as an RB1 this week.
Aaron Jones vs SEA, Thurs 11/15
Jones finally got RB1 treatment last week as the Packers premiere back, and he delivered, scoring over 30 fantasy points. He should keep his hot streak going against the Seahawks who have not been good stopping the run lately.
Mark Ingram vs PHI, Sun 11/18
Ingram is coming off a 20 point performance last week and is playing an Eagles D that looked scarily bad against Dak Prescott last week. He is worth starting but he might get robbed of some touchdowns by Alvin Kamara or Drew Brees.
SLEEPER: Doug Martin vs ARI, Sun 11/18
“No’s” :
Jordan Howard vs MIN, Sun 11/18
JoHo was a dud last week, having a measly 3 points despite a solid matchup vs the Lions. Don’t count on him to score much more, as he is playing a scary Minnesota front seven featuring Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter.
Marlon Mack vs TEN, Sun 11/18
Mack is playing a suddenly frightening Tennessee D that held Tom Brady and company to only 10 points. While it might be tough to bench Mack considering the number of bye weeks, bench him if possible.
Joe Mixon vs BAL, Sun 11/18
Again, Mixon might be a tough bench given players like James White and Nick Chubb are out with a bye, but he is playing a Ravens defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to oppose running backs. Start him with caution.
WIDE RECEIVERS
“Go’s” :
Sterling Shepard vs TB, Sun 11/18
Shepard is playing a horrible defense in the Buccaneers who have allowed the most points to oppose slot receivers. Also, Eli Manning’s poor play should have him throwing more passes into the slot, where Shepard lines up.
Christian Kirk vs OAK, Sun 11/18
The Raiders policy continues. Besides the opponent, Kirk has established himself as Josh Rosen’s favorite target. Expect a few big plays to break out potentially in Kirk’s favor.
Amari Cooper vs ATL, Sun 11/18
Much like their division-mate Buccaneers, the Falcons have a terrible secondary. Dak Prescott should look Cooper’s way a lot as the Falcons run defense might stifle Zeke Elliott with Deion Jones coming back.
SLEEPER: Josh Reynolds vs KC, Mon 11/19
“No’s” :
Jordy Nelson vs ARI, Sun 11/18
The Raiders policy carries over to the offensive side too. Not only has Derek Carr been very bad this year, Nelson, the team's top receiver, but also figures to be matched up against one of the best corners in the league in Patrick Peterson.
Devin Funchess vs DET, Sun 11/18
Funchess has been a disappointment for his owners in the past few weeks combining for a mere 10 points in the last two weeks. Don’t expect his output to be much better as he is going to be matched up against all-pro Darius Slay.
Allen Robinson vs MIN, Sun 11/18
Robinson is coming off a great performance where he had two scores. However, he is playing a tough Vikings defense that features Xavier Rhodes as its top corner. This along with the fact that the Vikings should get a good pass rush and will stop the deep pass makes Robinson a sit.
TIGHT ENDS
“Go’s” :
O.J. Howard at NYG, Sun 11/18
Despite having one catch last week, Howard looks like a strong start considering that they play the Giants, who are one of the worst defenses in the league. Also, the Buccaneers tend to look for short passes like tight ends.
Evan Engram vs TB, Sun 11/18
Coincidentally, O.J. Howard’s opponent, Evan Engram, is also playing a terrible defense in Tampa Bay. Plus, Eli Manning has been spreading the ball out to more players the Odell Beckham Jr.
SLEEPER: Austin Hooper vs DAL, Sun 11/18
“No’s” :
Eric Ebron vs TEN, Sun 11/18
Ebron had a fantastic game against the Jaguars, setting up a hot streak that ends now. Jack Doyle is supposedly going to have higher priority this week, which limits Ebron’s performance, even if he got priority.
Jimmy Graham at SEA, Thurs 11/15
Graham has not been great for several years, and the Seahawks have been playing better defense against most teams. Graham also tends to be mostly ignored in Rodgers’ targets.
DEFENSE
“Go’s” :
Chicago vs MIN, Sun 11/18
The Chicago defense has turned back into the Monsters of the Midway again since the loss against New England. Assuming that they cover Thielen well, things will get very hard to find someone else.
SLEEPER: ARIZONA vs OAK, Sun 11/18
“No’s” :
Baltimore vs CIN, 11/18
The Ravens’ defense seems to be a very good option, thanks to how they have been able to shut down several teams, such as the Steelers. However, they haven’t done great against teams like the Bengals who have a nice run game and pass game.
