This weekend, Juventus managed to secure the win against Torino FC. Nonetheless, Ronaldo’s 70’ penalty was the only thing standing between Torino and a tie. As soon as Cristiano joined Juventus, he became the center of Juventus and Serie A, ranking as top scorer and second place in assists. The Portuguese star has been a driving force in Juventus’s success and overall performance by helping them gain and 8 point lead. However, Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus’s boss, worries that Ronaldo may overdo himself.
Juventus has a slew of important matches in front of them. In order to sustain their hard fought for the lead, they will have to do well against Roma, Atalanta, and Sampdoria. In spite of the tough competition Juventus is soon to face, Allegri stated in a pre-match conference that the 33-year-old will be sitting out in one of the three crucial matches.

The Juventus boss explains, ” This is the start of the final rush before the mid-season break, so we need the right energies”. While thinking of the bigger picture, Allegri is giving Ronaldo a strategic break to recharge his energy and play hard in order to guarantee long-term triumph for the team. In the game against Young Boys in the Champions League, Ronaldo caused an offside during Dybala's goal resulting in the goal being annulled. This break may be crucial for Ronaldo to recover after his rather weak performance which led to their loss in their game which ended up in a 2-1 defeat for the Italian club.
