Despite a one trophy season, Hazard as an individual had a pretty good overall season. He had 16 goals, 15 assists plus personally finishing of Arsenal in the Europa League finals with a brace. Hazard was one of the best attackers in the Premier League this season, along with greats such as Sterling, Mané, and Salah. Despite this tough competition, fans must really be wondering if he can take on Lionel Messi, king of Spain.
Obviously Hazard is talented, but face facts. He isn’t Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s scoring international hat-tricks at 34 years old. He isn’t going to set Madrid scoring records, winning records, or anything of the sort. However, he will make sure Barcelona doesn’t dominate the table in the 2019-2020 season. Messi was unstoppable and grabbed all the headlines, but he must now be wondering what life will be like with another great player to compete against.
Real Madrid truly has potential to do great things this season as long as they make the right moves. They’ve already signed Luka Jović to strengthen the offense and Eder Militao for the defense. Madrid should also be looking into trading Bale, to generate enough money for another blockbuster trade. The addition of Pogba, and maybe João Félix could form the greatest midfield in Europe. They also have Modric too to fit in somewhere, or, although unlikely, to trade. Furthermore, having Vinícius Júnior (Coming back from Injury), Benzema, and Jović would make an offense that could score goals without relying on just one player.

Though a daunting task, Madrid have an excellent chance to contest for La Liga, and to retake their Champions League throne. They’ve strengthened he midfield with Hazard, and must now look to solidify the defense and provide more scorers on the offensive side.
