After Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in July 2018, he left a huge void in the team’s attacking formation. As a result, the other players of Real Madrid could not compensate for the loss of one of the best players on their team as well as the world. This was accompanied by the poor managing of Julen Lopetegui which further hindered their performance. After a 5-1 humiliating defeat in the El Clasico, Lopetegui was fired and Santiago Solari was assigned the seat of the manager. In order to restore Real Madrid to their former glory, the manager, as well as others, set out to find possible candidates to fill this void. Through their search, Real Madrid stumbled upon Eden Hazard.

Ever since summer, the two parties have been linked. It is said that the Spanish club has agreed on a deal with the Belgian superstar. This idea has sustained through the talk from both parties. Hazard even called Real Madrid the,” best club in the world”. However, this is not to say that Chelsea is not persisting. The Premier League giants have tried to discourage the people over at Real Madrid by making his price heftier. Chelsea is also set to offer Hazard a new offer to keep him in Chelsea. Nonetheless, it is possible that Real Madrid may decide to offer a part-exchange deal in order to pry the 27-year-old away from Stamford Bridge. Two possible candidates to be exchanged are Marco Asensio and Mateo Kovačić who may be offered along with 100-million-euros.

In August, 2018, Thibaut Courtois, a Belgian goalkeeper, transferred from Chelsea to Real Madrid. Hazard wanted to follow him to Real Madrid, and play alongside him again for both players appreciated each others support on the team. As of now, Courtois is eager for Hazard to join him and play for the La Liga giants. The 26-year-old adds," He's a wonderful player. I'd love to play alongside him again," which pronounces that people of both parties agree with the transfer which increases the chance of the move actually happening. Moreover, Hazard would be surrounded by countless other elites. If Eden Hazard were to join Real Madrid, he and Modric could make an amazing midfield duo that would fuel the assists to the strikers and help them rack up more goals. Hazard's good vision and passing ability paired with his solid dribbling skills could no only help the midfield, but would also contribute to making the team better overall.

Although Hazard is undoubtedly one of the best players to play for Chelsea, and his lack of any goals in the past ten games for club and country outlines that a transfer may give him a fresh start with a new team to further his career.
